Founded by its founder Hadi Özalp in 1980 in a 120-square-meter shop on Lamartin Street, Martaş Automotive is today one of Turkey's largest independent automotive spare parts distributors, exporting to 33 countries. Martaş Automotive, which takes its visionary approach from its roots, took its name from the initials of Murat, Anadol, Renault, Tofaş, which constituted the automobile park of Turkey at that time. Although the vehicle park was limited in Turkey between 1980 and 1990, the growth of Martaş Automotive gained momentum with the developing automotive market in the following years, and in the 2000s, speed, service and availability started to come to the fore with the increase in diversity.

2010 was one of the important turning points for Martaş Automotive, and the second generation, Ziya Özalp and his brother Cem Baver Özalp, took over the management of the company. With this takeover, the company underwent a significant digital and technological transformation and established a system based on efficiency by combining the company's principle of "Unconditional Customer Satisfaction" with technology through logistics systems, B2B program and reporting systems. This technological and digital transformation has made Martaş Otomotiv a sales, marketing and distribution company that has established a logistics culture with the support of technology and can manage 150 thousand references. In 2018, Martaş Automotive became a shareholder member of ATR, one of the largest commercial collaborations where the leading distributors of the independent automotive spare parts industry worldwide meet, with a turnover of 22.5 billion Euros and 38 shareholders. Martaş Automotive announced this collaboration with the Champions League concept in 2018 and gained great power and experience in domestic and international markets. Logistics centers, which are the heart of the company, constitute an important part of its leadership in the sector and are seen as one of the most important working areas on the road to success. Today, Martaş Automotive, which serves in 4 different locations with its distribution centers in Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir with a closed area of approximately 31,000 square meters and Istanbul head office, aims to open two new distribution centers in 2019 and 2020.
